Ahh, I got you. It's politics. Rhetoric is king.
Not to me. The important thing is always to tell the truth and do good analysis.

@Space , I'd still love to come to some type of wager for this election. Obviously if we can't just agree on a simple trump wins or Clinton won, surely we could come up with some adjustment we both agree on. Also, a signature bet wouldn't be the end of the world to have for a month or so. What are you open to on this? A certain margin with electoral map? A specific state maybe that comes red or blue? A difference in the percentage of the vote Romney gets compared to Trump? I'm all ears for coming up with an wager here.
Yeah. Fuckin' integrity. The system spoke and it upheld a natural right. Sorry you don't like the results. There's a remedy for that if enough people share your frustration and that's to create an Amendment to the Constitution.
Where does it say that the federal government can prevent associations of people from using their resources on political advertising? If people have free speech then groups of people do too. Pretty simple really.
Sig bet is doable, but let's do the whole shebang: Trump wins, you have to use a sig I pick out for you.
So just straight out you win if Trump is elected and lose if he doesn't? I can write up the format of that's it. Want the sig to last until Inauguration Day? Most people are doing that
1. The exact statement the bet is premised upon
2. Stance each poster is taking in regards to the statement
3. The date the bet will be decided
4. The reward/punishment for the winner/loser
5. The duration of the reward/punishment before I will post it.
Damn, Lead straight poaching the bet I offered a month ago.
Ah, well. At least somebody's getting it done.
Here's the format
Our bet
@Space v. @Lead
1. Donald Trump wins the general election
2. Space- for, Lead- against
3. 11/08/2016
4. Signature bet- winner picks losers signature
5. 11/08/2016-01/20/2017 (Election day to Inauguration day)
This look good space? If for some odd reason there is a disagreement over who lost or won (I can't see how this is possible), you can pick from the two mod options (Madmick or Zankou) to settle the matter.
What say you good sir? Should we make this official?

There was no integrity in the ruling in my opinion, because it is absurd to state that their is no risk of corruption from allowing unlimited money in the system. Therefor I find the assertion that you should have integrity in defeating the decision as absurd.
The constitution states that associations shouldn't have free speech, in the protection of my individual free speech. I am a member of a very large union. I'm not exactly left out in the cold in the current system. However, my individual free speech is encroached on by being drowned out by groups of people with a megaphone.
On top of that, how can something be speech that not everyone has? This is what enrages me more then anything in that decision. Poor people have a right to equal speech of a rich person. This is what makes calling money speech so absurd. This is the path back to a feudal system. There is no difference in my view between saying money is speech, and saying only land owners can vote, which is half a step away from having lords .
If any of those brave GOP supporters are up to it I would be willing to bet the Dems retake the Senate.
That's a dead even bet in my mind. I think it's going to either be 50-50 or 51-49.
Come on, I'm not going to make a bet that I think is a flip of the coin.
