Healthy shaming in the regular posts are the way to go. @cooks1 brought up (in another thread) how people used to duel. I totally disagree with you (@Lead) about taking account bans/suicide off the table. It makes this kinda penny ante. What happened to in for a penny, in for a pound? You gotta let bros bang so us chiders can mock fuckers into recklessness. The we'll maybe see the real action that gets this train a runnin'.

The account ban policy is forum wide so it isn't even a preference of mine, though I do think it's best to keep as many members as possibly in the war room since it's fairly thin already. This thread will still serve its purpose in the long term cause bets and records will be recorded and thus will allow certain users to be praised and or shamed. I just think this initial period is rough because we don't have anything to look at yet, no short term rewards.

Well if it's "company policy" what can you do? But really we wouldn't necessarily lose members, but rather members would have to start over with new accounts. Isn't it an IP ban that prevents someone from coming back in a new form? No worries though. I'm less passionate about it now that I'm sober.

That is true. I'm not see why we put it place but I would assume that the higher ups think of someone lost a decent account, they may decide not to come back. Just my guess.

1. The exact statement the bet is premised upon
2. Stance each poster is taking in regards to the statement
3. The date the bet will be decided
4. The reward/punishment for the winner/loser
5. The duration of the reward/punishment before I will post it.
Once, you both are in agreement, tag me so I can add it.

2. Whoever (Waiguoren using his prediction the day before election day or m52nickeson with 538 for his prediction the day before election day) has the smaller sum (using the equation above) wins.
3. 11/08/2016 (Election day) or slightly after depending on results coming in
4. Signature bet- winner picks losers signature
5. 11/08/2016 (expected based on #3) to 01/20/2016

How's this look? I'm not the best at summarizing these so feel free to propose an adjustment before making this official.

Ha, length definitely should be a factor but the problem is as you mentioned, we usually have no idea. I do find it's far easier to drunk post on my phone compared to a keyboard.
