'Surrendering' would mean that we gives me the account and I change the password.

That would be a more accurately termed an account swap or trade. Bets don't usually involve the winner also giving something up.

No, what he apparently wanted was to take over Polish's account and either absorb it somehow or puppet it around. It's not entirely clear how he thinks that could have worked since you can't have multiple accounts.
