The War Room Bet Thread V3

You specifically said, and I quote, "the loser can create a new account."
Yes, dummy. The loser can create a new account after he surrenders his old one. Why is this hard to understand? Been hitting the bottle again?

you expect me to believe that you didn't know what an account bet is?

Until I see it from a more trustworthy source than you, I'll stick with the logical definition. Account bet = you bet your account.

you didn't know account sharing is against the rules?
Account betting is against the rules too, you dolt.

That doesn't really negate the logic of commandeering an account though. If he takes another person's account they can always create a new one, that comment isn't an admission of anything contrary like you think it is.
Holy fuck, someone around here actually has a brain.

Assuming I was wrong about the definition of 'account bet', I think this entire exchange illustrates the difference between a man who has a life outside of Sherdog and a male who spends almost every waking hour hitting the bottle, making Mark Hunt .gifs, and worrying about what his Sherdog "friends" are up to.

There is nothing unusual about people voluntarily deleting their accounts. That is what account bets are. Account sharing is never allowed. Your logic is retarded and, I suspect, based on embarrassment.

Oh you were definitely wrong lol

It is unbelievable to me that you were ever a moderator. You don't even know the site rules. Let us read the Sherdog rules, available here:

Welcome to Sherdog!

.....
  • Avatar and signature bets should be handled via PM. If a person bails on a sig/av bet, it is not a moderator's/admin's responsibility to fix the problem. Account bets are not permitted.

What exactly are you arguing about?

  • We're only interested in what happens regarding this website. So if your brother, ex-girlfriend, or roommate gets into your account and posts infractions, the account will take the bullet regardless.

And yet, here we are. Polish is voluntarily having his account deleted. How can such a thing be? Dear god, what does it all mean? Is @Lead breaking the rules by allowing Polish to delete his account?
No.
You're embarrassing yourself, Wai lmao. Gawd almighty.

What exactly are you arguing about?
It's less of an argument and more me poking extended fun at him for being a dumbass.
Wai and Polish agreed to an account bet outside the bet thread. The mods don't enforce those, so they came up with an av/sig bet and put that in the bet thread.
Polish lost, and then summarily agreed to have his account deleted.
Wai apparently thought that an account bet meant the person gives you their password (?) and you get to take over their account (???), which is very obviously against the rules.

Lmao at @waiguoren talking about honoring a bet. Props to @PolishHeadlock for giving the go ahead to delete his account.

Salty little @waiguoren crying about not getting to take control of an account and crying about not honoring a bet. Remind all of us again, who hid out so that he wouldn't have to honor a bet? Also who was the guy that said "Its a deal" then went back on his word. I really suggest that @waiguoren be branded with that pink belt now.

You know, I don't recall ever seeing a situation where the person that won a bet is fighting the payout lol

@SBJJ
And yet, there in plain English in the Sherdog rules, it is clear that account bets are not even allowed. So this moron's reasoning is fatally flawed. Also, this guy was a moderator not that long ago and doesn't even seem to be aware of the rules.

As a separate issue, I'm not sure if I'm right or wrong about the definition of 'account bet'. I've never actually seen one go down. I've been here since 2005 and as far as I know account bets have always been disallowed, so it wouldn't be surprising if I had a misunderstanding. I had always thought of it this way:

Sig bet = I win and you give me your sig
Cash bet = I win and you give me your cash
Avatar bet = I win and you give me your avatar
Name bet = I win and you give me your account name
Account bet = I win and you give me your account

oof, not a very smart post. No one is crying here, other than that fake history professor.

Again, dumb. I'm not fighting the payout. The payout is that I control his AV and sig for the next five years. After that, he can e-suicide if he pleases.

Wai, people can have their accounts deleted. It happens, and for a variety of reasons. It's not some insane thing. Mods won't enforce account bets, hence why you should probably never make one. And yet, here we are. What you can't ever do do is share accounts. You are the one that made the account bet with Polish. That was you. You made any number of posts about it, and even went so far as to tag multiple people to serve as enforcers of that account bet. "Hold the loser's feet to the fire" and make them honor it, etc. The posts are all right there. All he has done is honor the bet, something you have had your own problems with, Mr. Welchy Welcherton McWelch.
I think the problem here is that you're embarrassed.

"It's actually an account bet"

Your face, it doesn't look good

<JagsKiddingMe>

Since you have returned from hiding out in shame, you really have been exposed as super immature. It's really hard to take anything you say seriously. Before this, I think most of us enjoyed you. It is amazing how fast you fell off.
