Nate fucked this whole thing up so completely that Conor's not sure which way is up. I believe the stories about McGregor calling out GSP after handily KOing Nate in round one. It was set to headline 200 as the biggest fight in mma history.

Problem was that Nate didn't get the memo. And good on him. He was overlooked and was only supposed to be a means to an end. There is only one person to blame for all of this. That's Conor. With a big assist to DW and the promotion though.

As much as I wanted to see GSP vs McGregor. All I can say is.

War, Nate The Monkey Wrench Diaz.

I can honestly say. I am thoroughly entertained.

a 40 man openweight battleroyal to find out who should be the #1 contender for the UFC 200 main-event

actually this is better for conor and the UFC. Conor will sit out the ufc 200 and if they are smart they will cancel this fight and let him fight winner of aldo/edgar. If Nate beats him again.....conor will not be seen the same way every again. You can explain away one time at 170 loss, but being beaten twice by the same guy and he isnt a god anymore

It's better for all that fight didn't happen. It would seriusly be a maulling. GSP would absolutely beat the shit out of McGregor. It would've been really bad.

Exactly. Which is why I wanted to see it. The 3 belt thing was really too much for me. If you're a self proclaimed GOAT. Prove it against a true GOAT.

So what happened was conor started training for the rematch. but realized he hit nate with his hardest shots and couldn't take him out. and then realized he'll never get the proper amount of cardio and muscle needed to beat him at 170 so he's backing out before his networth drops anymore.

gsp was impressed by nate's performance.

The way I see it Conor just isn't that great at MMA. Sure, sure, he is good and belongs in the top 10 but he's obviously no champion. His ground game needs considerable work.

I'm inclined to agree that they were all looking past Nate Diaz and he threw a monkey wrench in their plans. Good for him for doing it! It makes me even more of a Diaz Brothers fan. I don't like all the things they do but I respect that they stick up for themselves unlike so many other fighters.
