Some athletes use PED's to gain an advantage in competition, to enhance their performance.
Someone who's used PED's, but regularly uses cannabis, alcohol, and cocaine is taking them because they are drug seeking, they struggle to stay away from stimulants. This is the reality of addictions. I'm curious what advantages alcohol and drug addiction bring to an athlete. A case could be made that addictions handicap an athlete.
