Last night a champion fought someone at his weight class and the title wasn't on the line.

It's not a big deal and it didn't bother me, it just felt weird.

Apologies if this has been discussed to death and I missed it.

That has nothing to do with pro wrestling and everything to do to give the fans a great matchup while plugging in a big name for the biggest card.

I thought it was a little weird the title was not on the line. I think it was at DC request based on his post fight interview. He seemed like he was a nervous about fighting Andy on that short of notice with no prep for him.

UFC 200 is a good example of why Pro Wrestling is still a thing.

Anderson wasn't a LHW contender, which is why they didn't put a belt on the line.
This makes the UFC more legitimate, not less.

on two days notice
saved the opportunity for Cormier to fight on the card

DC didnt want to continue cutting weight. As soon as he heard Jones was out he was on his way to Popeyes..

No.

Anderson asked to fight 3 rounds, because obviously he didn't have any time to prepare his cardio for a 5 round fight. Title bouts are contested at 5 rounds.

I would say its turning into pro wrestling because they had freaking Chuck Liddell make some goofy ass promo for a wrestling game right in the middle of the ppv card.

WTF was that???
