Brock VS Fedor would have been a head exploding event, the biggest up to that point. Both men in their prime, one a giant with what we believed at the time to be insane skill, the other the undisputed GOAT. Couldn't make the deal. Ben Askren is a wrestling freak of nature, when he gets a hold of you, you're going down, UFC couldn't check their ego at the door and put fans first by signing him. Now this Conor thing, the UFC brass have failed us yet again. If triple G at some point said he wants to fight RDA or Khabib, you can be sure the UFC would screw it up somehow. Dana: "We have a great announcement! The GGG fight isn't happening, but I got Meisha VS Ronda 5!"

Where to even begin. Brock vs. Fedor not happening is every bit Fedor management's fault as it is UFC's.

Ben Askren? Ben Askren gets 50 retweets bashing the UFC if he's lucky. Only hardcores care about him, so if you're going to use him as example, I'm going to assume you're talking about the hardcore fanbase. Well guess what? The hardcore fanbase positively does not want Conor vs. Diaz 2, that's a BS fight, Conor holds the FW belt, and wants to jump to 170 lbs for a BS rematch. The hardcore fanbase wants Conor vs. Edgar, guess who's not letting that happen? That's right, Conor McGregor himself.

Next time think things through before you type.

who the fuck would want to see GGG vs Khabib? lord have mercy

Hmm. Well if they dont give us what we want then wtf are they growing?

Wtf do we still watch?

Oh right i know the answers. Because more often than not THEY GIVE US EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT.

It wasnt the UFC it was Fedor that kept the fight from happening. And as for Askren they didnt sign him as a favor to the fans. Think about it Bellator didnt even want to resign him, yet its the UFC's fault. mHe couldnt even stay employeed where he was champion.

I'd like to see Rhonda and Conor. The match up to end all match ups. Can you imagine the PPV numbers. Isn't that what it's all about anymore. Hell with the standing and weight classes, PPV is the guiding number for match ups anymore.

Nate vs Conor 1 was pretty much what we all wanted.

UFC delivers at least 75% of the time (some cards suck, but rarely are there bad ppvs)

Even if some dream fights didnt happen (GSP VS Anderson) The UFC still creates great fights all the time. I don't think Fedor Vs Brock was anybodies fault, UFC offered Fedor great money (relatively speaking) and he turned them down.

I don't see what your problem with UFC is, 200 looks great

Go watch boxing then, see if they give the fans what they want. This post is so incredibly stupid and off base. One of the few things the UFC does right is give the fans what they want. They don't hold out rising superstars from fighting guys in their prime like boxing does, they usually sacrifice the long term for the short term. And dont blame the UFC for Fedor, it's been proven time and time again the guy doesn't want to fight for the UFC he's content crushing nobodies and making millions for it overseas and good for him, not hating on him one bit. TS you're a whiny hump and and embarrassment to MMA fans everywhere

Actually the UFC gives way too much to us as fans, im talking about events. No company on earth puts out as many events. The argument can be made that this is exactly the problem.

Fedor was past his prime......but he still would have beaten brock

Ben would have beaten GSP but he is boring and ugly as fuck....not marketable or likeable

Conor v Diaz 2 will happen, but not at 200.......but it may do more PPV buys

I know you're joking, or partly joking but that wasn't a sticking point in the negotiations. And as crazy as that idea sounds, the Russian government had offered him his own stadium-sized training compound if he stayed in Russia. Everything Fedor asked for (that Dana deemed to be crazy) were things that other orgs. had offered to do, or done for him.

Fedor just had way more bargaining power than any other MMA fighter in history. UFC champs are locked into UFC contracts so they don't have as much power as they should.
