The UFC is looking for a new opponent for UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor per Dana White

Would you dissapointed if Conor McGregor doesn't have a rematch against Nate Diaz?

UFC president Dana White broke this news on The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

It looks like Nate Diaz is asking for too much money for the rematch. What are your thoughts on this? I could live without seeing the rematch.

Just save him for the MSG card and the winner of Aldo/Edgar. Or find a way to co promote with Mayweather

Good, I never wanted the rematch. Make him go back to 145.

i´m not surpeised because conor does not want that fight

he already ducked in front of your own eyes about a month ago, you fool

I wouldn't be disappointed at all as long as his next fight is actually defending his 145 belt. It'll be pure bullshit if his next fight isn't defending that belt and isn't against Nate.

I dont think that the UFC or Conor either one are in any rush to have him actually defend that belt. They seem plenty willing to allow the interim belt to become the real belt and allow Conor to keep a token belt so that they can keep selling him as a champ with no threat of actually losing his title.

I'll swallow those words if he actually defends his belt.

Get off the Mayweather vs. McGregor sh*t. It's not gonna happen. The dude got cracked with a 1-2 combo several times against Diaz, and all of a sudden he's gonna compete with Floyd? GTFOH

This is a negotiating tactic.

fight doesnt make sense anyway - nate would ass own him in the pre fight and the actual fight - they bought themselves some time at least

I can live with never seeing the rematch. If he wants to fight outside of FW, put the belt up and move on.

doesn't seem like mcg is the problem.

it could be - or it could be that they just dont care enough about nate and dont want that fight to happen bc conor will get his ass kicked again anyway - why would they even want to do that fight to begin with? this time, nate will have a full training camp

Good, let's see him against the Aldo-Edgar winner at MSG!!! But Dana's dumb and will probably insist on headlining with Jones who doesn't sell half as well as Conor, and whose last few fights have been on the boring side

And he'll co-headline with Wideman probably. Normally neither of those would be a bad thing but the UFC needs to use their marquee star(s) for one of their most historic fights

Hopefully Nate misses this payday and his next fight is a 20/20. That'll teach him some humility.

I couldn't care less about a rematch. It would have been nice to see Nate make some more money but I have little interest in the actual fight.

Hmm.... an opponent for the featherweight champion? I wonder!
