The UFC is in a catch 22 regarding Weidman and Rockhold

All I can say is MMA is such a brutal sport and these 2 have already taken a good licking, but at least they both made it to the top.
 
Both are about that time to go so who knows where they are at after the long lay off.
 
Rockhold is one of those people I can't even remember their last date. I swear it was against Jan maybe 2.5 years ago at LHW. He had keg sleeves on signifying some health problem and yeah a broken jaw. I can't imagine what else his body has been through. He's reaching Dominic Cruz level

Weidman has suffered a shit ton of injuries too
 
always thought of weidman was a loyal company man that lived to fight. always thought luke was a pretentious overconfident douchebag that lost whenever he talked shit about his fantastic fighting "ability."

this. For me, the only thing the ufc does that is more reprehensible than their pay is how they treat old veterans. Throwing them to the wolves over and over so that some young chump can make a name off of them. Taking savage beating after savage beating to end your career. It has happened to far too many guys in the ufc. They know fighters have a big ego so they’ll accept most of the fights they’re given.

Rockhold lost competitive fights to Romero and Blachowicz. I wouldn't put him in the same category.

But, like I said in the other thread, he really didn't pick a good tune up fight in Costa. Maybe he'll prove me wrong.
 
Chris Weidman was a monster in 2013 and 2014.

Since then he's mostly just caught a lot of ass beatings.

It's not binary. It isn't do people tune in or not to watch those guys fight, it's that way more people tune into to watch those guys fight than some random Bellator mid card fighter, so yes, they draw considerably more and a lot more people tune into to watch them.
 
Wherever they go I’ll watch. I’m not even a fan of weidman but I would tune into wherever he fights. Certainly more internet in a guy I’m not a fan of over any lady fight

so you’re saying the ufc will cut these two. And Roseanne modaferi is fighting soon

it’s like giving praise to a league of Down syndrome guys and watching that over a luke or weidman fight.

That strategy works twofold. Coker has said he doesn’t want UFC washouts riding losing streaks. The UFC will just squeeze the last bit of juice out of them ruining any chance for Bellator.
 
Also by keeping them. Dana and the UFC can give the fans more highlight KO's, give them more CTE and make them forget about fighter pay or how they got treated and swept under the rug cause of the CTE.

Weidman should have been cut/ retired a while ago. If Rockhold gets ktfo again, he’s out too. The ufc is getting rid of the old dogs, don’t you see.
