The UFC hasn't produced a star in over 5 years.

They squash the guys who try to make some memorable entrance.

Khamzat Chimaev is on the cusp of mega stardom. If stays active and keeps winning impressively he will be a cross over star

This was just a few days ago before the UFC London event

Fighters in the UFC need managers like George Washington Duke or Paul Heyman to speak on behalf of the fighters to promote their fights to get the casuals interested thus creating a star

It isn't in their best interest to create a star. They make an absurd amount of money, and their fighters have no leverage

Ufc never created any stars. They just happen. It's up to the individual imo

But there's plenty of stars

Maybe not too many more blockbusters. Not everyone can be Sonnen, Rousey, Lesnar or McGregor.

Fighters like Islam, Gaethje, Volk, etc just been about improving and being themselves

Which raises the question: what do you want from the product? Fame? Entertainment? Competitive fights?
