We can agree to disagree. The only thing that comes out of that fight is the fact one of the two would halt their losing streaks. Also... belts are virtually meaningless now, and any top fighter is better off NOT being the champion or holding any belt. If you hold a belt, the UFC all but owns you indefinitely.

Old news

This fight would have been great right after the Conor/Cerrone fight and before the Usman vs Masvidal fight. Would have done huge numbers. Now, not nearly as much

Conor is done as a serious threat to new opponents. If he loses to Poirier again, his brand takes a huge hit. If he wins, Poirier still beat him twice recently. There aren't any easy champ fights.
 
Masvidal is a lot bigger than Conor for one. Conor still has a alot of fights left in him, but this is not the one to make. Masvidal would win, and I am a HUGE Conor fan. Masvidal has maybe 3 fights left, the UFC cannot afford to have Conor continue to lose. Conor doesn't even weigh 170 lbs and Masvidal is cutting to 170. Conor needs to fight Dan Hooker or Dos Anjos, this makes more sense. Conor pulls over a million buys no matter who he fights. He doesn't need to fight the next biggest star in Masvidal just because they are both stars.

I remember when i thought theyd try to get Conor a WW title shot whenever they could,but since he cant even beat Porier,that took a big Diarrhea shit all over those plans

Conor did mention fighting Masvidal if he won the Diaz fight, but after he saw how easily Masvidal dominated Nate he backed off on the idea.
 
Nah they're totally going to go with Dustin 4 because they have no idea how to Market or preserve their cash cows after losses

I thought Dana said Masvidal is too big for Conor at some point in the past in some interview? I'd like to see that fight of course also.
