Its well known that the ufc loves to pad stats from changing height and reach too changing professional mma records, the ufc loves too oversell their product and hope to hit a home run whenever they see an opportunity.

Overall the listed height are smudged a bit but the trend seems to be the taller the person the more exaggerated the height is.

Discuss,flame, bait, and repeat away!

It's just that fighters cut and gain height all the time in and out of camps so teh UFC can't stay on top of the changes. Is normal goof.

That's every professional sport. Heights and weights are padded or not updated. For example, Warren Sapp. He was listed at 303lbs for his entire career until he got down to 285lbs at the tail end of his career. If you watched Sapp throughout his career he was playing at around 335lbs-350lbs. Look at Shane Carwin. Was listed at 6'5 then faced off with Frank Mir (who was listed at 6'3) and was shorter. Carwin is around 6'1 and 1/2 to 6'2.

It's kind of fun to see an athlete enter a sport one height and retire even taller.

Jones is a legit 6'4 or a really tall 6'3. Cormier is a legit 5'10 and something. Cormier for his entire life and career was listed at 5'10 and then the UFC started listing him as 5'11. They did the same thing with GSP he was always 5'10 then somehow became 5'11 before the Shields fight.

It's safe to say most fighters aren't on the dot 6ft, 5'10, 5'11 etc. That is why using CM is a much better measurement and more accurate to within reasonable points. There is a difference between 178cm (5 ft 10.08 inch) and 180cm (5ft 10.87 inches). or 190 and 193cm there is a difference. And rounding doesn't do justice. Especially if the individual is say 191cm.

UFC would be better to round to half inch height instead of rounding entire 1 inch marks. That is why we the fans are so confused on fighters heights. That isn't even mentioning the fact that the UFC has mislabeled height by up to 2 inches or more. For example a guy who is 179cm (5ft 10.47 inches) would be better listed at 5ft 10.50 inches aka 5'10 and 1/2. However, the UFC would list a guy who is 5ft 10.47 inches as 5'11 which throws sh!t off.

Very inserting, brock lesnar is listed as 6'2 6'2.5 at most when he was measured by the NFL

Do you have any other examples?

Jones is a legit 6'4 or a really tall 6'3. Ormier
I doubt it bro, i would take NFL Combine stats over any of the UFCs stats. I would lean towards tall 6'3 than say he's a legit 6'4

Perfect example but im still iffy on the jones take.

As for the cm too feet/inches debate, everything you said was spot on and if my memory serves me right i cant remember one time the ufc used a .5 inch in any fighters stats its as if everyone fighter is perfectly an inch away from each other.

Well height can fluctuate up to about 1/2 inches (0.5 of an inch) aka 2.54cm a day and no more. Depending on when someone is measured morning vs evening. And if they got enough sleep and slept on their back or in a not crooked position.

That is why I refuse to believe Arnold Schwarzenegger is under 6ft like some have claimed. If that is the case then we are all 2 inches shorter then we think. And that can't be the case.

I could see Jones as a tall 6'3 but I have a hard time thinking he is under 6'2 or even a tall 6'2. Jones has to be 6'3 something or like 189cm at the least. I'd be more inclined to believe 190cm (6 feet 3.2 inches) at the least.

Overeem is also another tricky one. He used to be billed at 6'5.

jones is probably 6ft 3.5 inches.

Plenty of pictures of him looking obviously taller than overeem, arlovski, mir etc.

Overeem is at most 6'3 no taller

Here is brock listed as 6'3 by ufc standards and 6'2/6'2.5 by NFL stats

Your research is amateur at best.

You can find all these guys researched to a much higher level at http://www.celebheights.com/

Here are some legit heights extensively researched for some guys you posted:

Dan Henderson 5'11 http://www.celebheights.com/s/Dan-Henderson-47111.html

Conor McGregor 5'8.25" http://www.celebheights.com/s/Conor-McGregor-48848.html
so your telling me that listing Hendo is 5'10.5 -5'11 and conor as 5'8-5'8.5 is amateur at best compared too your sites? so im off by .5/.25 at most.
btw thanks for the site

Majority of fighters are the height they are listed at. I met a few UFC fighters and they were at least the height that was billed for them.

Robbie is a legit 5'11
