The Tyron Woodley hate is fascinating!

I noticed it a couple years ago. When he was waiting for a title shot since his fight with Hendricks fell through. People were asking who Robbie should fight next and he was the only available contender. I guess people were still butt hurt he destroyed Condit. And now even more butthurt he is their champion. LOL
 
There aren't that many hate threads about him, and honestly most people just seem apathetic about him. Which is even worse than hating him, I think. He's too boring and annoying to hate. Do you "hate" the housefly? Nah, you just don't give a shit about it and don't want it around.

Woodley isn't the best welterweight in the world, and he never has been. Yet acts like he's the second coming of Fedor. He plays the same game in every fight: Back up and try to suck the other guy into an overhand, then wrestlefuck if it fails. Rory solved him and made him look like a bitch, and he'd do it again if they fought now. Woodley often makes Machida's performance against Phil Davis look masterful.

His mom is fucking annoying too, so I see where he gets it.
 
Guy is annoying, cant stop praising himself up, he was on Rogan the other day and he never agreed on anything Rogan said about him.
 
Sherdog is mostly money fight loving casuals, they just don't want to appear to be playing that role.
 
I don't compare him to GSP at all. When you watch GSP, you know you are watching greatness. He mixed up his game so well and beat different guys in different ways. Woodley is an old-fashioned wrestler with a big punch, and he's marginally better, at best, than most of the top 5 guys. Rory is better, and Thompson has shown that he's just as good. I think Woodley would struggle with several others, too. The guy is just lucky to be around when Robbie hit the downslide, the next best guy is in another promotion (along with some other good fighters), and the best the UFC can give him is a kickboxer with a few years of MMA experience, and a 40 year-old one-dimensional jiu-jitsu practitioner who was never truly considered elite when the division was stronger, both of which are good matchups for Tyron.

Meanwhile, GSP was way above everyone else in his division. That's what made him special. And his fighting style was at least a little more entertaining than Woodley's, IMO.

Out of the 9 male champs, Woodley is the 2nd most active (MM is #1) and has the third most current defenses (MM is #1, DC is #2)

For some reason, MM and Woodley are the twwo most complained about champions besides Conor, despite being 2 of the 3 most active and accomplished current champions in the sport.....

Uhh, MM is complained about more than Garbrandt was? Or more than Bisping was -- that guy couldn't get any respect. I mean, those guys were all champs concurrently. When MM is complained about, it's due to the very existence of his weight class, not him as a person.

I guess I missed where everyone complains about D.C., and how everyone hates Ngannou, and how Bones Jones didn't get the benefit of every doubt while he was terrorizing all the white wimmens in an entire Midwestern state.

Get over it, or at least make a better argument.

GSP may not have gone balls out for the finish, but he made it very clear in his decisions wins that he was the winner. He beat the shit out of most of his opponents.

MMA fans don't need finishes, but they do want action. Woodley's fights as of late have lacked that.
