TED made more money than 40 yr old virgin? Turns out yes and it made a lot more.

Ace ventura - 100 mil
40 yr old virgin - 170 mil
TED - a whopping 500 mil

How tf does that happen??

But there are some names missing from the list TS. Something about mary made almost 400 mil, way more than elf. It should be in the list and it would be in my top 3.

Partly its due to the list not factoring in inflation, if anything the fact it will has so many films from the 80's and 90's on it even with this tells you comedy was bigger in that era.

Oh man, that really takes me back
I remember the whole theater rolling in the aisles at the comedy master class Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise were putting on in Rain Man, bouncing off each other with razor sharp precision
Not since the peak years of Bud and Lou or Stan and Ollie were two better comedic geniuses seen on screen together

Funniest part for me was when we learn that he accidentally scalded Tom Cruise when he was a baby and that's why he was sent to the home in the first place, oh Dustin Hoffman, you nut!

In terms of funny, Home Alone, Austin Powers, and Mrs. Doubtfire.

Not saying they're the best quality movies, but they're the funniest.

Out of those movies my favorites are most definitely Rain Man, Mrs Doubtfire, and Home Alone.

I have not seen The Hangover movies are they good? I just remember seeing that one part "Paging Dr " lol
