One thing Covid has demonstrated is further proof of just how divided this country is.

Maybe, but I'm not sure the divide follows the normal left-right divide very cleanly. Imo there are two divisions related to the Wuhan virus that are distinct from left-right. The first is geographical. In most of the US, the coronavirus hasn't had much impact at all, but the governmental response to the coronavirus has been destructive. In a place like NYC, the governmental response has been destructive, but it pales in comparison to the ravages of the pandemic itself. Another key divide is whether or not you've lost or are in imminent danger of losing your job based on the shut down or whether you are fairly secure.
