The Takedown Defense thread

I really don't know of any videos or tutorials. I learned by wrestling better wrestlers than myself. You need to find experienced wrestlers with a good fast shot and good trips and throws. Your balance and reflexes and awareness will improve tremendously over time. I remember when I first started wrestling in high school. I was lucky to have two top five wrestlers in the state to practice with every single day. The progress I made after six months was dramatic. After a year I felt really confident. After a year and a half and finally two years I felt invincible on the feet. I literally got 10x better from year one to year two.

You really have to work with some good wrestlers and also people much bigger than you. That will really force you to use proper leverage and technique and create good habits.

I've been training MMA for a year now and have good takedown defense. I want great takedown defense, however. I'm looking for videos the community considers great tutorial videos or even just examples of fights. I've done quite a bit of looking around and I do like these myself:

TDD isn't just sprawls, study scrambles very intently.

Work and focus on fundamental defense befor ed working on scrambles too extensively

Just do the underhooks. And add some jab salt and pepper.

Ah yeah... all ya need is double Unders and you can stop any takedown haha Tewagarch (or whatever it is) taught us that

Because you know, a wrestling technique couldn't possibly nullify wrestling  but wrestling sucks.
