So the wife wasn't convinced of S02E02, but I personally found it to be the most Star Trek of all previous episodes.

Both Orville and Star Trek dealt with religion and superstition this week. Both made the case in favor of science. Glad.

definately enjoying series 2 over series one. Bringing Christopher Pike into the story arc was inspired

The new Spock looks almost a beared woman..

I saw a twitter post that the writers have really been trying to add things, that link up in canon. They said they helmet that the Discovery retrieved, is suppose to like the one, the solider in Q court wore in Encounter of farpoint. There's been a few little teasers like that this season.

Even more Picard news.

The series starts filming in April. The are shooting for fall/winter release in 2019, before discovery season 3 in early 2020

Earlier in the presentation, executives Marc Debevoise and Julie McNamara updated the assembled critics on the future of All Access. With regards to upcoming Star Trek shows they spoke about the previously announced Picard series with Patrick Stewart, Section 31 series with Michelle Yeoh, and animatedStar Trek: Lower Decks series being developed by Mike McMahan. According to USA Today’s Gary Levin they re-confirmed that the Picard series is premiering in late 2019. As for the Section 31 series, they clarified that even though it was announced, it is currently in “development” and does not yet have a series order greenlight, unlike the Picard and Lower Decks series.

Also not sure whether this has been known, but there will be two animated short treks this year.

Yup, and they announced both will be animated.

CBS has put Discovery S02E01 on YouTube for free viewing:

Outside the US you will need to use ProxFree or Hidemyass.

Another great episode of Discovery. Cool to see what is happening to the Klingons and how they are retconning things. The Legendary D7 makes an appearance.

Yeah, I"m really liking this show. It has joined my "Must Watch' list of weekly shows.

They have some good action, writing, and actors. I dig the Captain. I believe he was the dude from 'Hell on Wheels'. I always liked him, and I'm glad that him doing the abomination called 'Inhumans' didn't kill his career.

also lmao at Tilly beating anybody in a half marathon.
Come on , son. Clearly she is juicing.

Well sorry no. Episode 3 was the worst so far.

The TV preview has "TV-MA". Are there F words and naked boobs in Star Trek?
