Lol at people saying the wire. Decent show but perhaps the most overrated also. I guess it’s edgy choosing something that flew under the radar when it was out. But let’s stop the nonsense.

I couldn't agree more show was ok but neither Breaking Bad nor Sopranos had a season as bad as season 2 in The Wire. If I had to choose one show it's Sopranos.

During my first wash, season two was my least favorite. On my second watch I realized it’s probably one of the best seasons in the entire series

I experienced the same.

Sopranos is boring af. Breaking is a really nice show but the wire takes the top spot.

They are all great but if I had to pick one it would be The Sopranos with The Wire a close second.

I enjoy the Sopranos. You also have to put yourself in the perspective of the time. Having a protagonist blatantly kill people And do reprehensible things was unheard of. The antihero wasn’t a common trope in TV at the time. In fact, I feel that it still holds up, because Tony soprano isn’t even an antihero, he’s a villain, which is an interesting take for a protagonist. The series tricks the viewer into empathizing with a sociopath. Today, the antihero and anti-villain are becoming played out.

However, The Sopranos production value in the earlier seasons are awful. They even CGI to Livia Sopranos face on a different actresses body, after she passed away. Like an early form of deep fake and it looks so bad. There’s also a scene where a character gets shot while he’s sitting in a chair, and you can blatantly see a hand push the chair, and it’s never been edited out.

The Wire flew under the radar at the time because HBO were too busy with Sopranos,
golden boy who got all the promotion of the world. Just because its more crowd appealing plot. They knew that anti-hero mobster with "family code" would be a blockbuster like it was in hundreds of movies before. Where on the other side you have Baltimore city as a main character, lineup of unknown actors and some legitimate residents of Baltimore in TV show.

I haven’t seen Sopranos but between the Wire and Breaking Bad I’m voting the Wire, even though between the two shows I’d say the Wire has the worst single season out of them (season 2) but the Wire just managed to hold together in a more coherent manner throughout, whereas with season 5 of Breaking Bad things started getting too cheesy for me.

no offense but if you can't get your mind around season two, you're a frigging goof.

Breaking Bad easily.

Wire is solid but aged terribly with awful cinematography and pretty shitty acting. Definitely overrated by boomers.

Breaking Bad is catching up. Interesting.....

I watched all three.
Sopranos has more moments that you can rewatch.
The other two not so much.

wow, it's a very close three-way vote. i've only seen the sopranos and breaking bad out of those three. i choose the sopranos over breaking bad. i guess i need to see the wire, if it's liked by as many people as the other two.

The Sopranos was very good

Never watched The Wire or Breaking Bad
