But requires the most precise timing and distance.
These numbers mean nothing. There have been lots of skewed studies over the years. I 100% agree with you that sidekick would start out being the strongest kick (that is where you get these stats) but a PROPERLY trained back kick will surpass that over time. For beginners and novice sidekick may be a stronger kick but your back kick is the one with the most potential for maximum impact.

I'm talking about to get knockout power instead of just jabbing it. If you choke the side kicks range It's full potential wont be unleashed.this kick doesn´t require more precision and timing than any head kick. Like seriously, how cna you miss a body with your whole foot bottom. As opposed to a high kick, axe kick, spinning back kick, or even just front kick to the face. Also is that you ?
I'm not sure what you are getting at with this. I do not call anything a spinning back kick. I have a straight back kick off the back leg or a step turning back kick off the front leg. Both of these have significantly more power than my rear leg side kick, cross over side kick, skipping side kick or any other version. Some TKD styles call spinning side kick and back kick the same thing. If it's a spinning side kick, then you are doing the same thing but just turning around. If you are doing it without turning over then that's a shorter motion
This is what I mean by a properly trained back kick. Learning how to thrust the hip and transfer the weight into the kick. If you are "just jabbing" a back kick then yes it will not be as powerful.I'm talking about to get knockout power instead of just jabbing it. It has nothing to do with your technique, if your opponent closes the distance before it's extended then that's a choked kickThis is what I mean by a properly trained back kick. Ok but this is the case with any kick. I assume we are talking about max power here.It has nothing to do with your technique, if your opponent closes the distance before it's extended then that's a choked kick
It is not the same thing with swinging kicks. They have more speed and don't need full extensions.Ok but this is the case with any kick. I assume we are talking about max power here.
I'm not sure if you are the guy in the video or not and I am not trying to insult you by any means but if your side kick is stronger than your back kick then you need a lot of work on your back kick. Feel free to PM me I can send you some great drills.

I don't throw back kicks. I do these. And I can give you tips if you like.
You said without spinning. So No. I think I want to see my opponentSays the video is unavailable (what are these???) but absolutely if you some decent tips on kick training I would love to get them. Thanks
You definitely should start throwing back kicks though. The potential power you can achieve after a few years will be worth it.
link Should work now. Thats the only back kick-esque thing we do in TaeKwondo. We dont throw donkey kicksSays the video is unavailable (what are these???) but absolutely if you some decent tips on kick training I would love to get them. Thanks
Works now, thanks. Yes that is more of a karateish turning side kid. Similar but a straight back kick is more effective. Faster, longer, less telegraphed. I don't throw donkey kicks, I still have an 90's back kick lol.link Should work now. Thats the only back kick-esque thing we do in TaeKwondo. We dont throw donkey kicks
Back kick in traditional, ITF Taekwondo is this. So more or less a side kick. We dont distinguish between back kick and back side kicksWorks now, thanks. I am not talking about any extra spin than you are doing here, actually a little less. The back kick would come from the same slot but without full rotation of the shoulders.
