Kubrick has a very unique, trippy quality to all his movies. It's very distinct.

The Shining scared the shit out of me when I watched it as a kid.

one of the best of all time. i remember watching this for the first time and i didn't know too much about it other than the "here's johnny" reference so i went in with not much expectations and i was blown away. so well made, the score, the way it looked, everything. they don't make them like this anymore.

question, what aspect ratio are we supposed to watch kubrick movies in? because i've heard some were filmed with 4:3 fullscreen in mind and since dvds they've been putting everything into widescreen.

you're telling me u film geeks don't know what aspect ratio we're supposed to watch it in???
