Which of these movies do you rate the better movie out of 10?

The Rock was directed by Michael Bay and had a soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer, it was a pure action movie it attempted to portray the frustrations of former and current enlisted men have with their government and the support they receive after serving their countries.

Tears of the Sun was directed by Antonie Fuqua and had a sound track composed by Hans Zimmer, it was an action movie that attempted to portray a sense of duty that sometimes goes beyond your mission to protect those who can't protect themselves even if it may mean your own death.

The Rock and it isn’t close. I appreciate the attempt to recognize that little plot point about Ed Harris being disenfranchised, but it had Nic Cage in a Ferarri chasing Sean O’Connery in a hummer.

This is basically what I expected. I don't think anyone has thought to themselves "I might watch Tears of the Sun tonight" despite it being a good movie.

Dramatically different in pacing the idea is roughly the same, Doing what's morally right regardless of the consequences.

Tears of the Sun is probably a “better” movie, but think it’s pretty forgettable. The Rock however is very memorable and completely over the top.

The Rock by a mile. Tears of the Sun isn't really all that good. The Rock still holds up and is incredibly entertaining. The Rock is truly Michael Bay's best movie, though that isn't saying a lot but it is incredibly rewatchable.
