The Road to Wing Chun applied in Combat Sports

No what's he using is boxing. Just because he studys WC doesn't mean that he never learned boxing lmao. Basically what you have described is called "angles" so by your definition of people using unorthodox angles must = WC I guess Manny Pacquiao is the WC champion of the world.

No, he is trained in and using WC.
Just because it's in boxing gloves doesnt make it boxing.
Boxing is a ruleset also.
Or we can say that there is a sizeable overlap between the two systems, which, being both primarily hand based arts is not surprising and when you make them both wear boxing gloves and limit the rules it will look even more similar.

Let's keep the WC 'boxing world champion' jokes to Sullivan since there is a direct link there I am quite sure (not saying Sullivan learned WC but that there is a historical connection I believe in the history and his stance is equivalent to classic centreline WC stance not like modern boxing)

We use hands, forearms, elbows and feet, so not quite same as boxing true. But some significant overlap also.

That argument therefore is like saying "If a Muay Thai fighter fought a boxer in a boxing match and won Muay Thai is the superior combat sport.
Similar to saying if a boxer fought WC fighter who could use their full arsenal but the boxer could only use Queensberry rules and WC guy somehow won then WC is better? It's hypothetical arguments like this that make people clown you.

No boxer gets into a street fight and uses just boxing. Even if that's all they know. They'll still grab knee and poke.

WTF are you talking about, comrade? Everybody knows that boxers could only fight with dat pillows on their fragile hands!

A punch will look like a punch.
I doubt that, especially in boxing gloves you could recognize a 'WC uppercut' compared to a 'boxing uppercut', likewise for a hook, straight, or some parries.

But the mechanics are different and use of force, angles it also depends alot on the fighter.
Bottom line - vid posted shows a guy trained in WC, not boxing, whooping a boxer in a boxing rules fight.
It is what it is.

It is WC he is using and trained in, and it can look like that.
i didn’t watch the whole thing, sort of jumped around and caught different parts. I didn’t think the WC was winning though. Did he rally at the end or something?

It's true, without our pillows we lose all our power :(
How does it feel, knowing you have trained a lie your entire lives, imagine if you had seen the way of the light of the path of the chun?

"Love the WC. For it is the salvation of mankind.
Obey it's words, for it will lead you into the light of the future.
Honor it's servants, for they speak in it's voice.
Tremble before it's techniques, for we all walk in it's immortal shadow"

"WC guide us. WC teach us. WC protect us. In your light we thrive. In your mercy we are sheltered. In your wisdom we are humbled. We live only to serve. Our lives are yours." <45>

"The chun is my temple, every one a sacred shrine. I name each chi sao blessed, and every straight blast divine."

Parrying a hook and counter with simultaneous punch and followup with same hand.

There are other variations of doing it also using the guard.
