He wanted UFC 200 to be all about him and beating Diaz. And he must have found out officially GSP was coming back and would steal the show.

No amount of main event is as great as a GSP comeback fight. So even Conor as the main all the hype would be around GSP leading up to the fight. And Media interviews would be all about GSP and what it's like to fight on the same card as GSP and Conor's ego just can't handle that.

He also can't claim biggest ppv king because when we all see the massive spike in ppv buys, aside from it being UFC 200 it'll be credited to GSP comeback.

One thing we know about Conor is his Napoleon complex is to complex to not be all the attention.

TL;DR
He sabotaged his fight at 200 not because he was scared of Nate but because he's supper Jelly of GSP.

Please tell me how GSP coming back to fight after ACTUALLY retiring from the sport wouldnt be the biggest story of the card it would completely overshadow Conor.

At press row Conor would be that kid in the class room that knows the answer but the teacher wont look his way "Pick me, Pick me, me, me , me!!!!"

Logically explain how conor takes a back seat to GSP and he would have to FYI

Nah he just doesn't want to get choked out again

Gsp on the card would give Conor more exposure, more money and lessen his promotional load. Now what?

GSP will take a back seat because in the UFC is a classroom raise you hand.

Logically he will overshadow everyone including those who say pick me pick me pick me. They are the teachers and logic.

Conor - "but i wanted to be the biggest UFC star :("

What if Conor is going to fight GSP @ UFC 200 and this was just staged so they could get Nate out of the way, without Conor looking like he's scared of Nate. Conor could still maintain that the Diaz loss was just a matter of "inefficiency"

How am I wrong? Everything I said was accurate.

Yeah and everything I said was accurate....So looks like were at a stalemate. But no GSP's name sells and Conors does to but GSP could take a back seat all he wanted and all the attention would be on him. And i'm not sure if you noticed this but Conor wants all the attention and the UFC has spoiled him making him main event when he rightfully wasn't after injurys and giving him so much press...

Conor doesn't want more exposure he wants to be the exposure.

But Gsp coming back over a stupid and pointless rematch you tell me what you care about more?

He wanted more money. UFC wouldn't pay. He tried to bait them into paying by saying he was retiring. They didn't bite but don't want to risk losing him by throwing him under the bus. So they made up the entire publicity tour thing to protect their relationship.

That's my theory. Seems pretty straightforward.
