The question for me, now is: will Dana show Nate the respect he deserves?

And start paying the guy, acknowledging that he is and has been a decent draw, and book the guy to fight more frequently?

Dana doesn't eat crow too well, but Diaz has always generated a lot of fan interest. He may not be the self-promotional machine that McG is, but he's got a lot of loyal fans.

He deserves big fights. He also deserves to fight a bit more regularly. And of course, he deserves the proper paydays at this point.

I imagine it would be a challenge to deny the man any of this, but we all know Dana isn't the most mature guy out there.

Do you think White will finally invest in Nate and show the man some respect?

Sidenote: Respect to Conor for taking a dangerous fight with a top guy in a weight class outside of his own. He got handled, but he earned more of my respect. Not that he gives a damn about my personal respect lol

He got this fight BECAUSE of all the things you just mentioned.

Nate himself elected to take a huge pay cut on his last contract in exchange for a huge signing bonus.
He was quiet about it until he spent the bonus and suddenly didn't like his contract any more.
But yes, he just got a lot of good exposure and he is one of the most skilled standup/BJJ fighters ever at LW. He's tough as nails and probably has a good 8-10 fights left in his career.

Conor is a natural LW and Nate is a natural LW.

But yes, they need to pay the Diaz bros what they are worth. Will they? Probably not.

He got this fight because conor cherry picked him, thinking he'd have a major advantage over a guy coming in on a week and a half's notice.

Conor thought Nate was the highly ranked lightweight he'd easily beat.

That's why he got the fight.

diaz vs pettis please

would be interesting to see what has more success

nates boxing against anthonys non existent head movement or pettis' leg kicks against nate

Nope. You're wrong. And you're just pulling shit out of your ass.

good lord I hope you're right about how many fights the man has left. Nate's always been an exciting guy, even when he comes up a bit short.

He deserves the fight at 200 that Conor was getting but he won't

Exactly. This is what's bothering me about the general Conor fans. They keep talking about his opponents as if Conor fought the best versions of all those fighters. Most of his big wins are from guys that were given a 1 hour lunch break to train to fight him.

Dana White is a pathetic, degenerate gambling addict. She shows respect to nobody, not even himself.

Nope. You're wrong. And you're just pulling shit out of your ass.

I'm not even sure if you're serious. You realize McGregor's been calling his own shots for a hot minute now, right?

BTW, wtf are you so mad about?

I just love how the Diaz brothers got Dana by the balls.

They're not as dumb as people think.

But he was totally ready to fight RDA or Cerrone as well.
Conor would fight anyone (as would Nate).

Maybe, maybe, Conor's camp thought Nate would get suckered into a sloppy brawl and Conor would capitalize on that. He kind of did get suckered; he's just got a rock solid chin and doesn't go away easily.

Nate will fail drug test. fight will be no contest.

Don't say this. It's a genuine fear of mine.

Wouldn't it be brutally poetic if that shit happened, as both Diaz's would have had their greatest victories overturned.

Valid points sir!

Nate's been fighting decent to big names since TUF...

I doubt either Diaz would still be in the UFC if they weren't getting a decent slice of the pie.

You've been buying wolf tickets, I see...

I think Conor would have smoked Cowboy last night. Conor picked wrong.
