The problem with the fanbase

I haven't been watching any MMA fights for a long time but had some time to spare this weekend so I thought fuck it why not watch a few fights again after a long time.

Man, I did not miss anything worthwhile. The UFC sucks as an organization. And the fanbase as well. The ONLY thing people should be discussing are the illegal techniques implemented by Gaycheat (a NOTORIOUS cheater) and how the ref (a NOTORIOUS BUM) did FUCKALL to prevent the cheating. Instead I see people praising Pimblett for being tough?? WTF? And do not come with some bullshit about how Gaethje would have won anyways ladidah because what he did LED to his victory, I know some people have difficulties in logical thinking but this one should be evident... I did not watch the Aspinall fight but I saw in the highlights that he had to stop the fight because of an eyepoke. And people gave HIM shit for it instead of his opponent??? What the hell are we doing here. Whats the point if everybody watching does not have the necessary intelligence to discern what a good performance is versus just cheating?

And the judging... 10-8 rounds are not given nearly as often as they should be because... because why exactly??? Nobody knows.

Also, the Jean Silva incident. So bullying is cool now? That weird clown STEPS on Allens back and poses like a dumbass and people praise him for that instead of criticising the lack of respect? Something that literally every single martial art teaches first and foremost?

I don't know man. Seems dumb to me. Are other promotions and their fanbases better than this clusterfuck of stupidity?

We live in a time where people have neither empathy or sympathy. A lot of the UFC fan base will watch innocent people get shot in the face by the police and say they deserved it. They will watch children get put in cages and celebrate it. There is so little humanity in the MMA community, and any concept of "honor" and "respect" is gone - being a bully is cool now to these people and cheating is not seen as a problem. There used to be a "no fighter bashing" policy on these forums - that is gone, or at least not enforced.

I completely understand why most fighters are not on Sherdog. They would have to be masochists to want to be here.

we got it, op is just one of those that suddenly became aware about eyepokes and for some strange reasons it makes them unable to follow the sport like they used to do until some months ago.
