4 fucking pages and not one goddamn mention of the fact that the only redeeming quality of this by-the-numbers, cliche-ridden C-level martial arts flicks is that it has prime Mariska Hargitay in it?!!??!?!

Christ on a stick, no wonder there's so many goddamn iPad and "help, I can't get laid" threads in this joint.

everytime I see a hot chick in a cheesy martials flick back then, I always thought learning martial arts will land me a fine ass women. Too bad it only happened once...sigh

I don't know what I was doing during this thread's first run, but I'm glad to see it again, because I love this movie. Awesome martial arts actioner, very short with no narrative fat whatsoever. And a great cast, from Mako and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa to James Hong and Professor Toru Tanaka and even a tiny role for a young pre-Seinfeld, pre-ER, and pre-SVU Mariska Hargitay.

I taped this like 20 years ago and had it on a tape with Showdown in Little Tokyo - another hidden gem from the '90s and another favorite of mine - and Best of the Best 3 - which was directed by Phillip Rhee and which is a million times better than the dreadful second film, with Rhee alongside Gina Gershon, Christopher McDonald, and R. Lee Ermey.

It's hard to beat an action movie from the '80s or '90s
