He was a small 155er with a significant speed advantage

Aldo looked bigger and as as fast as him at 145lbs

Should he move down to 135?
He would have the size advantage and be fairly fast too

A 140 weight class would be super for him because Aldo would struggle to make that cut, and he might find it hard to get to 135 although there's already bigger 135ers.

Aldo is just a bad matchup for him, 145 is his weight

Who else can beat him at 145 other than Aldo? I think he'd take Conor/Holloway/Lamas and he's already beaten the rest pretty much.

But given his goal is to get the second championship belt, he has to move down to 135, precisely because he can't get pass Aldo at 145.

He looked so small, like a BW vs Aldo, looked like someone had gotten bigger or smaller since their last fight.

He should move down and get an instant title shot vs Cruz ;)

Frankie cut 5lbs for the Mendes fight, Stann said it during the commentary. He can make BW easily and that's the division where he wouldn't be giving up size.

He beats everyone at 145 who doesn't have a scar covering half their face.

Curious to see how he'd do at 135 though.

Edgar vs Holloway would be interesting but I'd pick Holloway to win that fight

Anyone wishing that Aldo will kick Conor in DA FACE?!

135. he looked tiny against Aldo. I was shocked how small he looked. some good fights for him at 135

I would like to see him be the bigger man for once and fight mighty mouse :)

But maybe he was taller that Urijah

He was noticeably smaller than Aldo

I don't doubt he can make 135. He's looking smaller everytime he fights. Feels like he doesn't like weight cuts and would prefer to be lighter pre water cut. I'm guessing his walk around weight isn't a ton more than MM at this point. I just think 140 would be his ideal fight weight, given the choice.

I don't think he would beat Conor OR Holloway.

He should try 135.

For real? Holloway is a solid fighter but I don't feel like he is truly ELITE in anything. He does everything well, nothing extraordinary. To beat someone like an Edgar/Aldo/McGregor I feel as though you have to have at least one skill which is extraordinary or they will light you up. I can see it being competitive but if a 2013 McGregor can get Holloway to the ground (yes I know he's improved) with a damaged ACL I think Frankie would be able to as well. He just came up against the best TDD in the UFC arguably who also had experience competing against him. Holloway would probably have to keep him at distance, end of the jab and move. I think if Frankie gets close he's going to go for the TD.

Those saying he should go 135lbs, bare in mind he had to actually cut weight this time and watch his diet. He also came in leaner than he did last time and you could tell. I feel like he wanted to keep his pace up for the entire fight and he did a good job in that respect but Aldo's skillset and gameplan was too much. Aldo looked huge, bigger than he's looked before or at least in a long time and Edgar looked the smallest he has ever looked. I personally thought physically Aldo looked like a different fighter when he fought McGregor, this time he looked like he mastered the post-USADA cut too (maybe cycle-d properly this time too with experience on how they operate after 1 fight).
