Which division is better and why? In a one night 8 man tourney with these 8 who comes out on top?
 
The new LHW's destroy the old HW division. As painful as that is to say. Jones could win it all if he can stay out of jail.

Jones Beats Fedor
Rumble kills Nog
DC beats Cro Cop.
Gus beats Couture.
 
Depends how the brackets are made but I would favor the heavies.
 
I have to respectfully disagree. Rumble is the only real killer and he gets his taken off by a cro cop lhk. While I could see it going 50/50, gus could choke against couture, Jones could lose a limb nog, and Fedor absolutely wrecks DC via power and subs. Now styles make fights, and this lhw division is impressive. It could go the other way. But come on now. We are talking about prime Fedor and comeback kid nog, k-1 killer cro cop and master of strategy couture. These guys today are raw and undisciplined, which they make up for in pure talent. I give a slight edge to today's lhw on account of couture not being nearly as unstoppable as the rest
 
Anybody who understands evolution knows that the top 4 at LHW are better than the HWs you listed & the current top 4 HWs.
 
That's a crock. Jones ain't got no power. He gets raped by werdum, Cain, and might have a shot against stipe and overeem if his chin/legs remain attached. DC does the best at HW. Rumble can't hang and Gus is not HW caliber. Now I will say by the slightest margin in hindsight I give it the modern lhw over the old hws. But cro cop and Fedor run through these guys
 
Evolution doesn't change that Fedor in his prime is the only complete ground fighter to ever walk this planet. And it doesn't change the fact that Gus and Jones have twig limbs waiting to be snapped. It doesn't change the fact that power makes you lose a belt every time you get hit. DC is the only one I can see being able to hang, and he isn't finishing any of the top 3. Skill wise p4p ya lhw is evolved in the stand up and up there with the grappling chops. Fedor and cro cop though, they were just bad dudes.

Unlikely. I'd favor Alistair the Reem Overeem over any of them and I'm not a giant Reem fan or anything. And DC himself says Cain is better than him.
 
Pride Cro Cop, Fedor and Nog would wreck those dudes.

BECOUSE we all know that Mighty Mouse beats Connor and his whole division, and 145 pounders beat all 155 pounders, and 155 top 4 easily beats ,lawlers top 4 devision.

I would give uber Jones a shot. But man werdum is just a bad match up and a healthy Cain is going to smash you one billion times with knock out punches. It's the weight. Stipe and Cain without the weight are lhw quality fighters today. Overeem just needs not fight anyone who can ko him. Would love to see him folded by rumble. Flat out would not happen though. Rumble ain't knocking anybody out after round 2
 
I would love to see:

Fedor v Cormier (for obvious reasons)

Rumble v Nog - To see if prime Nog could take Johnson's power and make a comeback for the sub (which Rumble has been vulnerable to).

Cro Cop v Jones - Mirko has always had good takedown/sub defense and it would be interesting to see if he could hang in there and get the range/timing for his LHK with the movement and varied arsenal of Jones.

Couture v Gus - Be a little like the battles between Chuck and Randy.

I wish people remembered exactly how scary prime bob sapp was. He was what 330 lbs? Beat down Ernesto hoost and almost killed nog. Every bit as scary as healthy lesnar.

DC isn't going to say he's better than his teammates, Rumble would find Reems suspect chin within the first round.
 
People just don't realize, cro cop declined badly. He was the second best fighter in the world.
