I liked it too. More what I meant was knockouts in high level fights. If someone was expected to get dropped tonight it was Danny.

Didn't see the first two rounds so I didn't score the fight. My initial thoughts are that anybody who can box that way against Jacobs is impressive. I sort of expected Danny's power would have some effect on Canelo and discourage him from fighting at that range but that didn't happen. I haven't read any comments yet but those sounded like reasonable scorecards. Usually there's an outlier when it comes to Canelo's fights.
 
How is canelo still giving an interview. after a fight you want to shower and GTFO of your clothes / funk.

Yeah but Canelo and Jacobs were unifying titles and are on a higher level, plus their fight is going to draw a fuck ton more revenue. Honestly I try not to give too much of a fuck about what the fighters make. If they don't like it they can always go try and do something else. Until then I'm just going to enjoy the fights.
 
Oh, and of course, you shouldn’t forget that Canelo did very little road work ahead of this fight owing to the knee, so it shouldn’t be surprising that he slowed down in the last quarter of the fight.
 
Was too drunk to score, but I thought Dan's scoring was trash. I saw a drawish fight and it was extremely enjoyable for me. Two technicians in front of each other all night. Good night for boxing.

It actually did, first time someone landed big on him and got no reaction, he was dead serious and feeling the power. But even early on where Canelo had his best moments there were many openings for Danny where he wouldn’t shoot the right, and also had openings for uppercuts. He didn’t establish that authority and tried to work the right hand which imo is his best shot and the best option to check Canelo while getting the judges attention. He wasn’t pulling the trigger in time and letting Canelo take the rounds but when he did engage he backed him up and arguably one the last half. His defense was very good. Canelo didn’t look as crisp as he usually does with getting the judges attention with loud clean shots. Sure he landed some but not nearly as much as he usually does and that’s because Danny did a good job of blocking those hooks upstairs and sticking the elbow out for body shots.

Others are saying Danny just came for the paycheck because he didn’t press more in the last rounds when he clearly did but was obviously tired. He fought a hard fight, just started a bit too slow. His mistake was not getting some rounds early.
