..or am I going mad?

I was sitting on the edge of my heavy swivel chair today at work. Since I was working overtime and no one was around I began shadow boxing, while sitting on the edge of my chair.

I've found out that this mirrors proper punch mechanics. In fact, due to the extra weight of the chair, you really have to push off your feet with correct footwork in order to shadow box while sitting on the edge of it.

It makes me sit on my punches and it actually feels quite natural, since your hips remain level while your feet are constantly pushing and moving, while the swivel chair allows you to rotate your hips and trunk into each punch.

To me, it feels like a resistance exercise that builds technique. Almost like grappling with a weighted vest.

Try it before you flame!

(p.s a heavier chair works best. Those light flimsy ones just make you skid all over the place)
