So you ARE seriously claiming Jose is better than Ferguson? What mental gymnastics are you using to do that? And what you taking a dig at me because British managers aren't that good? Am I supposed to be arsed about that? Zero fucks given, I'm not a British manager fanboy. Ferguson has won way more than Jose, simple as, explain how Jose is better. Also, if you're so biased against the British that you tried to deflect and avoid the question of how Jose is better than Sir Alex, what about Guardiola? Simeone? You think Jose is the best of his generation above those three alone? You know very little about football if so.

Mourinho better than Ferguson? Absolutely yes. Ferguson is much older, much longer career, Mourinho isnt done yet. Better than Simeone? Yes. Better than Guardiola, up for debate. Are they from the same generation? They have almost 10 years of difference. I guess their primes overlapped for a little. And yes, British managers are really weak. There is no European elite team managed by a British, British teams included.

Jesus, again, what criteria are you using to define better? It clearly isn’t success, which would make total sense. it's part of the topic. Since a lot of Ferguson's wins came at a time before the premier league started hiring so much foreign management talent. So he was up against other British managers. Also Ferguson has more championship wins but in one country, while mourinho won the 3 top leagues + more european level cups on a 20 year shorter career.

You clearly have no clue what you're talking about. ZERO of Ferguson's title wins came before the premier league, not 'a lot', none, zero. You're wrong again. And he was up against Wenger and Mourinho to name two all the way through his dominance. European cup winners cup is one game, world cup is irrelevant. Jose has 1 uefa cup (old name) and one europa league. Again in 20 less years of career so far.

He won the Europa League ( UEFA Cup) AND the Champions League the next year with Porto(big club but money wise we are not Barcelona, R.Madrid,Man Utd,Chelsea,etc).

A significant achievement indeed. Best of his generation though? No. Better than Ferguson? No. It’ll be interesting to see if he can do anything at Roma or whether he has lost it. That’s a big stain on his career in my eyes, lack of longevity and once the money slowed down so did the trophies. Which admittedly it does with most but it’s been dramatic with Jose.

I was at Old Trafford when Porto knocked us out and he ran down the touchline, I’ve never seen anyone act so cunty and I’ve had a strong dislike for him ever since.


He’s the emperor’s new clothes. Just like Conor :)
