The "No one goes up two weight classes(or three) and does good" myth.

Funny part is that Rumble goes up two weightclasses and still fights people smaller than him.

Funnier thing is, Rumble went up to Heavyweight and beat Arlovski soundly, breaking his jaw.

You got a Super Heavyweight excuse coming up next?

This is a pretty good example.

Sorry, I thought this was a serious thread.

Oh shit....forgot about that. The motherfucker went up three weightclasses too!

BJ is about Conor's size and he won the 170 strap. Different time in the sport though.

You could change that to going up three weight classes for Rumble.

You're right, BJ went up and beat the brakes off the top guy at 170 within three minutes. Cloner got dusted in nine minutes by a fringe 170'er who was 2-2 at that weight class.

War Penn.

BJ was fighting at 155 then ballooned up to 195 to challenge Ryoto Machida who weighed 225. And he arguably beat him.

They are doing damage control.

Reality is: Diaz fought at 170 because he couldn't make the weight for 155 or 160 that had been offered. They don't want to say the truth: Conor lost to an out-of-shape #5 LW contender.

How much does Lawler weigh without the weight cut? When you find that number, you'll understand the BS the UFC is feeding its fans. It was not a WW fight. It was a non-cut LW bout.

This thread has it all wrong...

Cmon guys, Rumble went down 3 classes
