Did anybody catch the season premiere? This looks like it could be amazing. Great acting and production value. Looks like it's going to be police procedural + legal system drama about a single murder.

Checked out the details. saw it was a procedural, and didn't watch. I somehow didn't notice it was HBO. Will absolutely watch now. Thanks for the head's up.

Yeah this slipped right the fuck past me as well, and I watch pretty much all of their original dramas. Usually HBO promotes the shit out of things ad nauseam.

1st ep is on Demand but it's not officially starting on HBO until July 10th. John Turturro's role was originally filmed with James Gandolfini in the Pilot. I hope we get to see the footage someday. DeNiro was supposed to take over after that but dropped out due to a scheduling issue.

The early reviews were kind of lukewarm. May be another HBO letdown.

That July start date makes sense. I was surprised to see it available last night. I love John Turturro and think, if the series is actually good (1st ep was solid) the series will benefit from his presense instead of Gandolfini (RIP) who had a huge presense and Deniro, who has lost a few steps.
