The next big finishing move in MMA

I'm surprised crescent kicks aren't used more often. Works amazingly well when you set it up with front kicks to the body because the motions are almost identical. Yet it suddenly out of nowhere comes at your face.

Bonus:

The Anderson Silva of Michael Jordans in crescent kicking.

Anderson threw a beautiful one at Weidman from like a foot away right before the KO.

He also threw a nice one at Bisping. It's a great kick cause it can be thrown in much closer quarters

Same move Nate used on Conor right before Conor lifted his neck up to be choked.

Better to set it up with inside leg kicks.

On a serious note, standing elbows are becoming more and more prevalent.
I guess they're more of the current trend than a future one though.

In grappling I think darces and anacondas are still underutilized, most guys don't go for them at all.
DJ has also shown that armbars are still relevant if you drill them enough.

The unsuspecting ear flick and forehead flicks can be devastating if Used with proper technique and timing. I agree ts

I can see Werdum pulling off this technique in a point to ground cobmination to ear flick to smirk to flying knee.
