I feel like, if Conor had never existed, these cards wouldn't seem AS bad (still not the best). We got used to having lots of exciting fights coming our way for a while. Will take a while to adjust back.

You are right. I am from Perth and it is a crap card. The story here is that there was a deal with the state government that if they allowed the use of the cage, then they would run a card in Perth. Previously you could only fight in a ring. A new government was elected and they approved the use of the cage. The UFC kept its promise to run a card there but nobody thought it would be a PPV. We expected Fox card or Fight Night. Not quite sure what they were thinking. Then it got worse because Whittaker got injured. Lots of people trying to get refunds so we will see what the numbers are like.

I like 4 fights on the main card of UFC 221. I know who those fighters are from seeing their past performances.

• Mark Hunt is co-main, he always shows up to fight, great fighter. He's fighting Curtis Blaydes who only lost to Ngannou so far, otherwise he'd be undefeated.
• Tai Tuivasa had a sick KO of someone recently in his last fight, it looks like he could be another Somoan fighter like Mark Hunt, on the rise for sure.
  
• Li Jingliang is a top level fighter out of China. He's been on a winning streak lately. Quite a few recent TKO/KO's too.

Though, maybe I'm just a hardcore fan, most casuals won't know who these people are at all.

The UFC is trying their best to build new stars. I think this is who they're going with for now.

I couldn’t agree with you more. The only way to combat it is simply not to buy it. I used to buy everyone no matter what but now I’ll only buy cards that have a full decent main card. They could’ve combined both the next two cards and then I’d buy it.
