MMA OK a blow to common sense
Now that everyone except Jerry Jones is aware that several sports are commonly afflicted by a life-diminishing, life-threatening concussion epidemic, the New York State Assembly, at Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s urging, has overwhelmingly approved MMA bouts — cage-fighting combat that is both hyped and determined by punches, kicks and elbows to the head, and the incumbent, conspicuous loss of blood.
It’s an economic issue, you see, one that will add tax revenue. It also should benefit the ambulance and long-term health-care facility (nursing home) industries. We trust the approving Assembly members will visit the victims of their legislation.
Why, after all, should these men and women be knocked senseless and otherwise commit brutality in neighboring states when New York is entitled to its share of the carnage?

The New York Post's Phil Mushnick is not a fan of MMA being legal in New York State. What are your thoughts on this? I think that he needs to lighten up on MMA.
