I love this movie, but did anyone else feel the movie was just one big Tarantino nerd day dream/fantasy come to life? I mean the guy goes from docile comic book nerd working in a comic store, gets a girl and immediately makes a total out of character 180 turn into a revolver shooting, drug handling badass on the lam from the Mafia. Not to mention the pinnacle display of total white knightdom, by going and shooting the guy that once might have harmed your call girl girlfriend.
That's how I feel when I watch any of Tarantinos movies, that they're just the manifestations of his strange obsessions/fantasies in movie form. But it was never more evident to me than in True Romance.
