Fig has much better jiu jitsu than Dustin but boxing wise Dustin is better. Fig defensively is pretty chin reliant and his footwork isn't anything to write home about. Dustin has a crafty shoulder roll/Stone wall guard and can throw combos well. Fig hits like a grenade at FLW though so he's hard to stand with. I do like Fig's stance switching however.

and as you alluded to Dustin doesn't have the relative power that Fig possesses so I'd pick his striking over Dustin any day You're right though, movement isn't Figs Thing but he does possess what I think is one of the best straight crosses in the promo today

If he can keep that style up he's going to be very hard to beat His unpredictability now is crazy as he's mixing everything up real nicely His BJJ has built in intimidation working for him and he's kicking, punching, and spinbowing very nicely now Not to mention that weird capoeira rhythm is nice

Appreciate the shout. Dustin loading up crazy overhand lefts and winging hooks isn't uncommon. First Eddie fight he was seemingly about to get the finish until running into a left hook from Eddie due to his loading of the lead hand. Dustin's jab from southpaw even on orthodox opponents is one of the best at LW barring maybe hookers. He uses it to find his range for power shots, disrupt rhythm and as a retreating tool when pressured. His stance/ high guard style of defense leads him open to hard low kicks and body hunters (both Max and Eddie abused this) but I think for most of his fights it comes into his game well enough. Dustin is very rarely unable to get his timing and wins most in pocket exhanges. He was able to get around Justin's pseudo dutch guard by varying up his methods of attacks too.
Figueredo has the privilege of being a wrecking ball at FLW. Dustin is a big boy for LW but Figgy is a titan that is gonna out muscle and out power you no matter what. Against Morales he was charging in hands down to land a rear uppercut to shovel hook alongside the ending of Joey B fight where he was framing his left for long periods of time to set up his crazy straight right loading it the entire time.

I think Fig offensively might be more sound than Dustin. He has good timing for when to throw his strikes and has insane accuracy (something Dustin goes back and forth on). I think the issue with Fig is that I haven't seen him fight a really great boxer/kickboxer at FLW yet. Joey B has nasty kicks but crashes into his shots a ton in fights. I think a fighter like Manel Kape (former RIZIN BW champ) is a guy who can really bring out the best in Fig for a high level stand up fight.
