Kind of a hot take to say Whittaker "isn't even a MW" when he was champion, beat Romero twice, Jacare before he fell off, and is 10-1 at MW only losing to Izzy after like a year+ layoff due to injury and giving his daughter bone marrow or some shit right?

Gegard is overrated but he handles Izzy easily. And same with Yoel if he just pushed a little more against a complete coward counter striker. Yoel should of trained in keeping an opponent on the ground once taken down cos Izzy not only has good TDD but very good at getting back instantly when taken down, like Dodson.
 
Whats annoying is, Izzy prolly beats Jan "Michael Bisping" Blacowhicz and then prolly beats a washed Jones and people will be putting him in the goat category when Yoel failed on his gameplan, and Whittaker is a favourable matchup for Izzy, and Whittaker is overrated as well heavily. Silva is overrated but back in the day, Izzy gets clowned like any striker did against Silva.

Fuck off with this shit. Gegard's best contender win at 185 against a natural MW was against Weidman coming off of back-to-back brutal KOs.

He got tooled by prime Machida and prime Jacare.

Brunson handled shopworn Machida much easier than Mousasi did in their rematch.

Dude has NEVER proven that he's anywhere near the legit #1 in the division.
 
agree its pretty lackluster. costa was embarrassed. and cannonier got beat by a dude who isn't interested in fighting.. either because he's injured or wants to spend time with his family. aside from those 3 guys the only other interesting thing at MW this year was chamaev's 1 punch KO of Gerald.

thats why they're sending izzy to LHW.
