Never heard of him but hes 24 years old and his record is 33-0.

Because 168 is such a dead division, the only other fight left for him is against James DeGale. Either that or he goes to 174.

Jack Badou & Chavez jr are still at this weight I believe. I think Abraham was just a very favorable matchup for him & don't think he has what it takes to be top dog at 168.

Favorable matchup or not, dominating Abraham like that indeed makes him a top dog.

It really doesn't imo, Abraham has no power at 168 & is older. At this point he is just a domestic fighter who mostly faces lower ranked opponents in his back yard. He got tko'd by Steglitz.

Watch Ramirez ' s fight with that Russian guy, I think it may have been his last fight. He looked pretty bad.

Badou Jack is on a nice run. In many people's minds Andre Dirrell beat DeGale, as well. It's not a dead division.

Abraham standing there with his hands up and doing nothing for nearly the entire fight made the other guy look like sugar ray Robinson

You could have at least googled the name of the "Mexican guy" if you were going to create a thread about him.

Sometimes he could be very exciting.... other times he could bore and frustrate you to tears with that approach.

I was certain AA was going to win based that fight

Ramirez didnt look good at all and that was considered a big step up for him (againat that russian guy)

Yeah I see a bit of this. Abraham always fought like a big guy at 160 (gloves up, plodding at his opponent, expecting his power to carry the day), but none of his skillset was really yielding results for him at the bigger weight. The Mexican guy that beat him looked alright, he's big for 168, that's for sure, but he needs some more exposure to top 5 talent to see if it was a case of Abraham looking bad, or him looking good (or both).

I think 168 being sort of dead right now is actually good for this kid. I didn't remember seeing him before the Abraham fight but Lampley pointed out one of his past fights where he looked mediocre so I went back and watched some of it and then I remembered him. He definitely seemed to be lesser in that fight and lets be real, its never been that hard for guys to look pretty good against Abraham and that's when Abraham fights in his backyard.

Tremendous potential at 168 for this kid if he's matched properly though. I could see how casual fans could think this guy was the next big thing after seeing that Abraham fight.

Jcc Jr. says he wants the fight and arum said if he can make the weight they will take the fight so Ramirez can kick his ass

Please man.. This shit has been going on for too long

That was his final warning. Next time it happens there won't even be cards. Ip ban. I try not to do that but he really brings the quality of the forum down
