The meteoric Rise and Fall of Gizmo J

Op's opening post sounds like something from vh1's behind the music or one of those "where are they now " threads

My man is just busy... he couldn't be expected to respond to everyone and everything, he dangles the carrot and rarely checks his trap... I mean, if you were posting legitimate inquiries, questions and observations on a dozen or more forums could you double back on all of them an respond to all the goofs? Simply, No...

"All good things must come to an end" - Geoffrey Chaucer

Gizmo J bursted onto the Sherdog scene like a superstar. His random, unusual, topics drew in crowds of Sherdoggers, his strange profile picture became the subject of jokes and countless memes. As his consistent, paced, postings continued, his popularity grew and grew... and grew... His reluctance to reply to any of his posts elevated him from a subject of intrigue to a full on legend as fellow Sherdoggers struggled to get a response from him.

Gizmo J would soon become more popular than @Clippy, a beloved forum member. Gizmo J's influence even inspired Clippy to model an avatar of a paperclip similar to his. As the number of Gizmo J posts increased, so did the curiosity of forum members who wondered, who was this poster, and where did he come from? Were his inquisitive posts borne out of curiosity or an attempt to create humor?

Members of the forum carried on their independent investigations to discover the identity of this forum superstar. Search results would reveal that Gizmo J was a member of other forums which would include, but may not be limited to, bodybuilding.com and anandtech.com. Gizmo J posted similar, unusual topics on these other forums as he did on Sherdog.com. Forum members began to question whether Gizmo J was a troll, a bot, or a spy. To dispel any rumors or myths, Gizmo J confirmed his identity with a picture with the phrase "My profile on Sherdog is Gizmo J" written on a paper with what appeared to be a crayon.

Gizmo J's popularity soared, even sparking a dedication thread and countless other memes being made about him. Gizmo also became the object of controversy when other forum members expressed unhappiness with him creating topics and no longer interacting.

Then everything changed...

While his popularity soared, Gizmo J was a fad, and like any fad, his popularity would soon come to an end. Like fidget spinners, Gizmo J went from being the talk of the town to yesterday's paper. Gizmo J's gimmick of making quirky forum posts and never responding was not receiving the same reaction it once was. Sherbros grew tired of the overused schtick. Like a child actor who becomes unable to get other roles, Gizmo J had difficulty adjusting to the lack of popularity and attention he once received. It seemed as though Gizmo J had reached his pinnacle and was on a downward descent. Would Gizmo J ever return to prominence, or was he just another 'has been'? Only time would tell...
That was actually a really well constructed piece of writing, man.

I'll reserve my judgement for if responds to this thread and what he says

Gizmo is what that medieval weapons guy that spent over $230 on a date, and still didn't get any wishes he was.
