Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

Right after you wake up in the morning...... what a riffing (first 30 sec):

Zoom in into the drumming of Lombardo (3:28 min mark)

I only really got into one album by these guys 'This is Love, This is Murderous' it's still a bangin album. This new tune is pretty decent. The keyboard player is married to Phil Demmell formerly of machine head/violence/kerry king band.

Some stuff I enjoyed this year @Busgosu ;)

And something for @Chad The Limey

That Fulci album is really pretty fucking good! Love that they made it a conceptual album based around Fulci's "The New York ripper", lol, that's one hell of a movie too!
Didn't know of Eternal, good stuff too! lots of influence by classic american osdm bands (Death, Obituary, Cannibal corpse...) of early (late 80s to 91) , but very well done, not being copycats. Good one!

Some new stuff that I've been listening these days and would recommend:

Great new EP on Relapse! much less core/punk than in their previous albums and more death metal

Also some decent californian crossover thrash ala Excel or S.T. :

These fellow countrymen of yours also. If you're into early Cryptopsy/Suffocation/Origin :

yep love these dudes. Don't think they ever perform live though? I should check again as they are kinda local to me.
wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a show... I checked on songkick and the last one dates back to 2012!!!

Also from Switzerland, this came out earlier this month. One of his best (Paysage d'hiver) IMO!!

;) + glad you liked the stuff!

I liked listening to your picks so thanks for that! Had a very metal leaning playlist this week 😈 so that both fit in.

Extreme - new album....Nuno & Co. still kick a mighty ass !!!!

Mammoth Grinder.... sounds well !

Prepare (LOUD) for some black/death speed from some 13years ago:

New Shadows Fall track drops friday first new music in 12 years.

<DCWhoa>

did u check out Skeletonwitch
It's "aite"

I prefer this style to be dirtier. Its really polished and melodic. It sounds like Goatwhore or these kinda bands.

I'd like it maybe, when I was 3 yrs old but not so much now.

Unhinged insane music that is recorded in actual Hell is the only real music tbh:

just got reminded of these guys last week and have been on a kick ever since.

i got to see Bethlehem in 2012 at Maryland Deathfest and their whole set was from the first 3 albums. it was intense. utterly crushing, miserable, drawn out and brooding.
seriously underrated stuff. definitely a main inspiration for all of that "depressive suicidal" black metal (stupid subgenre name).

Yes, this set was really great ! only chance I ever got to see them.

Mutiilation and early Bethlehem was great, as well as Abyssic hate and of course Burzum for fucked up music that with the exception of Bethelhem and AH only occasionally had a depressive bent before this kind of thing was stylized and packaged for hot topic depressed goths to take over ! (Shining era)

Really I stopped listening to Bethlehem after Reflektionen auf's Sterben but love everything before including that one.

That new one with Onielar singing was really good and I need to take another look at it
