It's the only good release from Watain apart from Rabid Death's Curse. Most people I know only listen to those two releases lol.

I think Watain sold out and I just can't stand their boring ass sound. Just personal taste mate. I mostly listen to caveman metal nowadays so it makes sense that this overproduced shit isn't for me anymore. I used to enjoy Sworn in the Dark but the stuff has become so boring to me.
I still like the guys because they promote actual Satanism and they are real good live but just have a distaste for their new music on record.

This band has a similiar style to Watain but imo better production and sound, you might enjoy them (I'm a bit of a sound-nazi cause I worked in (metal) music production for 6 years, not anymore however)

I can understand people not liking Watain's shift to more heavy metal elements from Sworn to th Dark onward,but Casus is a damned black metal masterpiece. Personally I like Sworn and Lawless Darkness for what they are. I cannot deny that the more accessible metal sound they have is still well crafted,and in the end I love metal,and it is good metal. Couldnt really get into the last 2 records though.

I mean, how can anyone say wintersun isn’t a power metal band? As far as I’m concerned they aren’t quite melodeath. Not hard enough, same with new Children Of Bodom, check out Norther.

I like UADA, and Mgła, but UADA more... Yeah I know crazy right

I don't think they sound very similar at all. They had a riff or 2 that sounded very similar but people just took that and ran with it.

But yeah the lead guy seems like a bit of a try-hard dork

Nooooo I wish lol! I used to work as a chauffeur and used to own a 15 passenger van. I drove for Ingested on the 2015 Devastation On The Nation Tour. Aeon was also on that same tour. I got along really good with Aeon, even more so than the band I was driving! The dudes in Origin and Krisiun were all awesome as well. Alterbeast was on most of the tour but got kicked off of it because of the guitarist having it out with the tour manager hahaha. Man fun times
