Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

I know this genre is mostly trash but in 1994 when this album first dropped, this shit was actually really original and the album cover still creeps me out to this day.

Plus as a 90’s baby I grew up with Nu metal haha I’m sure some of us remember our old cringe days lol

I was already into death metal by the time this album came out. But I still love the energy. It was a very unique album in it's time. I still listen to this day.

My fave from Nü Metal time period.

A mate of mine did a thing. Might be relevant to your sense of humour. Or not.

Holy fuck, one of my old mates brought me down memory lane....”remember when we covered this song?”

Shit definitely slaps.

Um...so I was watching the Thunder vs Blazers playoff game on TNT and I just watched this commercial during the break:

That's Megadeth's Last Rites/Loved to Deth playing in the background. This is the most random thing I've seen in an Apple commercial.

Machine Head doing an original line-up reunion tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Burn My Eyes. Can't believe it's been that long since it came out. The Old single was actually the first CD I ever bought lol.

Definitely gonna try and get tickets for the London show.

LET FREEDOM RING WITH A SHOTGUN BLAST!

I seen that commercial as well and was pleasantly surprised to hear megadeth.

I listened to this and Life is Peachy for the first time in decades recently. It made me smile. Ball Tongue was always a favourite of mine.

Life is Peachy has actually got an amazing sound, too. It's just that Jonathan Davis is a very silly man, which makes them impossible to take seriously.

long time lurker first time poster here. I just wanted to add about that first korn debut album. Where I work they banned ear buds but allow us to have a Bluetooth speaker at our station, so it's basically a loudness war of who has the best speaker. I listen to everything from old school metallic , slayer cannibal corpse , sepultura, all kinds of heavy shit and no one blinks an eye, but when I play that first korn album every one avoids me and acts likes I'm the devil in the flesh that's the most evil sounded shit some people have heard and they think I'm sacrificing goats to that album
