Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

Machine Head doing an original line-up reunion tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Burn My Eyes. Can't believe it's been that long since it came out. The Old single was actually the first CD I ever bought lol.

Definitely gonna try and get tickets for the London show.

Going to see a little old something tonight

Yep, that's the one. Flew down from Brisbane. Show was great, Sydney was the opposite. "It's 1:30am, we're closed go home" is a buzziill at the best of times, let alone when your flight home isn't til 6am and the plan was to party til the flight.

Awesome performance though, couldn't fault it.

I was at the Melbourne show on Wednesday night. The moment they kicked into Ye Entrancemperium I had a shiver down my spine.

I was at the Brixton Academy as a 15 year old the first time around.

Waited hours for them at a record signing in Croydon earlier in the day, only for Chris Kontos to stand up in front of everyone once they finally arrived and tell us all they don't have time now and everyone needs to just head on to Brixton <45>

This guy channel is full of good stuff from the past. I love some old footage of people talking about computers in the late 70's even describing what will be the Internet.

Taxi arrives, music is pumping. Get in taxi, dude tells me about this Mongolian metal band. Amazing.

Norwegian black metal masters 1349 have released a new single, titled "Dødskamp". The song has been commissioned by Innovation Norway, Visit Norway and the Munch Museum, who asked four Norwegian artists within four different genres of music to interpret their angle on a freely selected work by the famous painter Edvard Munch. Naturally, 1349 approached the art of Munch from their black metal perspective.
(Blabbermouth)

Any fans here of a band called Deafheaven? I’m going to see Gojira in June and they’re the opener. Not really familiar with them.

BTW, I’m pretty fucking fired up about seeing Gojira in a 1,000ish seat venue.

I know this genre is mostly trash but in 1994 when this album first dropped, this shit was actually really original and the album cover still creeps me out to this day.

Plus as a 90’s baby I grew up with Nu metal haha I’m sure some of us remember our old cringe days lol
