Metal/Rock/Industrial The metal thread \m/

Some peeps say that Exodus should be in the Big 4 over Anthrax but the vocals take them out of it for me regardless of who it is singing the vocals have always been the weak link in that band. I would put Testament in they have way better vocals and just a more diverse band overall.
Bonded by Blood better than anything Anthrax or Testament ever did, for me. But Exodus starts to fall off pretty fast, like alot of thrash bands did, once the 90s hit.

Definitely a lull for Thrash in the 90's, but by the late 90's/early 2000's it picked right back up. I'd put Testament "The Gathering" 1998 and Exodus "Tempo of the Damned" 2004 as my second favorite albums from those bands.

Plus in the 2000's we start getting awesome new Thrash bands. I love the 80's but I think people get stuck in it and miss out on the good music we are still getting today.

For me, I just think thrash reached a limit.

The bands I liked in the 90s were bands like morbid saint, demolition hammer and dark angel, which pushed the extremity of that music to it's limits without going all the way into death metal. I kinda got disinterested in the bands that stayed behind, stayed the same etc

Some bands like overkill for a second wind but ...I guess I stick to the classic stuff when it comes to thrash.

Fair enough I know a lot of people shifted their tastes. I was listening to Grunge and Rap music in the 90's myself. Not singling you out because a lot of people share the same criticism about "staying the same" but I do find it odd that people with that opinion only listen to the old stuff. For me, if they are making new albums that sound the same as the old stuff, that's just more of the shit I like. I'm glad people are still making Thrash that sounds like Thrash.

Its better to have one timeless legendary album than 10 "Aite" ones

Gonna check out some killer local Death Metal bands tonight:

Same drummer in both bands. He'll be doing double duty. Dudes gonna be sore as fuck tomorrow, LOL...

Plenty people talk about Fabulous Disaster and Tempo of the Damned as well. Still selling well and packing venues everywhere they go. Trying not to argue with you but you aren't making it easy! Comparing Exodus to Six Feet Under is grounds for a physical altercation...

you don't want the smoke...

That comparison was just about how people mostly talk about the debut albums not the entire body of work. Exodus is a thousand times better band so touche on that.

Six Feet Under is not notable whatsoever. The only reason anyone knows them is cos their singer used to be in CC, and that they have become a meme in the past few yrs for being so bad.

Even their first album is BLAH, especially compared to CC.

Early Exodus is legendary metal, that has carved itself in metal's history.
