Cara Dune from ALDERAAN should at the very least know who Luke "blew up the first deathstar" Skywalker is. And Greef as a former magistrate should know who Vader was even if only by reputation.

That's exactly how I see it, a show for kids, and the adults who grew up on it. It's edgier/more violent that just a show for kids though. They are towing (expertly) a fine disney line.

The main thing is that it's made in the spirit of Star Wars, and not an identity politics mess, without a clear plan, like the Disney trilogy has been.

It's also, and more importantly, telling clear, if not simple stories, with obvious good and bad guys who have clear objectives. I like how they told stand alone stories, while bringing back characters later on to wrap things up with a more sequential tale. It's a pretty standard formula of course, but considering how awful the Disney trilogy has been, it feels GOT 1 to 4 quality in contrast lol

Where I can't agree with you, is saying that it will go to shit. They have some pretty competent people behind the production. Only time will tell on that. I just hope they aren't forced into licking Rey's twat down the line, just to try and get her over and incorporate her boring story.

and yes, I confess, I'm a damn grown man, but baby Yoda's ridiculous levels of cuteness is off the charts lol

Clone Wars giving the clones deeper characterization and attentiveness is exactly what set it apart. It's vastly superior to this series. Sure, there are likeable characters, and the overall thrust of plot is well crafted, but the execution is so clumsy and mindlessly forced that it renders this stuff obsolete. It's succumbing to maudlin sap, now, too. When the series started it looked like Disney was going to manage the extraordinary feat of creating a gritty series that was still family friendly. That mirage has evaporated.

It's astonishing to me how production value pulls the wool over people's eyes. Petey was right. This series is Hercules or Xena: Warrior Princess set in the Star Wars universe.

the sequel trilogy has been so damaging to the fans that I think we're just happy to get anything that isn't full on insulting or lore destroying or childhood ruining or full political of agenda

All it had to do was not have any of these things to be accepted

It didn't have to be great. It just didn't have to be terrible

I really enjoyed Doom Patrol on crave. Umbrella Academy wasn’t bad either.
The Expanse is decent, weird, but worth a watch if you’re interested in futuristic politics or policing; lmao
I liked Carnival Row a lot. Just loved it. A lot of people don’t, but, I like watching bug people fuck with regular people I guess.

If you want to see a really ridiculous movie, “Wandering Earth” is hilarious. It has like 6 climaxes. If you watch Chinatown beforehand, you could say Wandering Earth is a movie that “fucks like a chinaman”

Imo clone wars etc are all junk, no charm. Nothing Star Wars is any good except the gene tartakovsky stuff, (and Mando).

Cara probably knows Luke as a pilot, but his Jedi stuff was mostly private.
 
Show was adequate to burn time. Gina was hot. Yoda was adorable. Mandos armor was cool.

story line, plot, and dialogue was weak and won’t carry Disney plus.

Legends are all the stories not considered canon. They didn't want to get rid of all the hard work people put into it. So basically when you go to Wookiepedia, whatever subject you look up will have two tabs Canon and Legends. Canon is all the stuff officially recognized by Disney. Legends is all the pre Disney stuff.

For instance......
Canon : Jango Fett is not a Mandalorian.
Legends: Jango Fett is very much a Mandalorian.
