This scene elevates The Mandalorian above every Star Wars movie since The Empire Strikes Back. In just two episodes with barely any dialogue, they've already surpassed the prequels and the sequels with hilarious ease.

Baby Yoda using the force is up there with Rey using the force with no trainning as far as crappy moments.

In the OT we believed Yoda was that good cause he had trained for hundreds of years, now we know his race is born like that mehhh.

Nah bro.

Yoda baby is twice Reys age.

Yoda baby ain't human, for all we know the little green guy comes from a race that's works the force easier .

Finally:

Yoda baby levitated a big dimb animal 6 inches off the ground, then was fatigued AF for a few days... untrained Rey nobody fought a trained Jedi and Sith with the blood of Skywalker and bested him with a lightsaber, and was fine....Kylo being injured wasn't a good enough excuse.

But that solution is part of my problem, Yoda being a X-men instead of being a trained warrior.

That also a similar feat to what Master Yoda did to show Luke the force, meeh not digging that part.

He maybe twice her age, but he shits in his pants so advantage Rey. (and I hate Mary Sue Rey)

Not a hugely excited about star wars but watched the first two. Short and to the point.

That baby Yoda looking creature is cute.

The I have spoken guy is cool as well.

Nice to see Nick Nolte back in action.

There is a certain amount of precedent; in the EU novel Shatterpoint, Mace motherfuckin' Windu mentions he first used the Force as a baby.

Come on, son. From what I hear, Mandalorian shits on the sequels and PM/CW. So does the Clone Wars animated series:rolleyes: But Revenge of the Sith is up there with the OG Trilogy, simply because we got to see Prime, Healthy, Motivated, Full Training Camp Sidious with That Look in his eyes. Hell, just the Order 66 montage is better than anything in most Star Wars movies:cool:

watched episode 2

this is easily ahead of everything except rots and empire

this actually feels like star wars and they managed to make a character you give a fuck about (hasnt happened in star wars in a long time)

only thing i didnt like was the knife kill

iv been thinking why they never go to a city in star wars, always in a desert

like there are a lot of megapolises in sw universe.

could pull off a good cyberpunk film/series

The only other Yoda creature in the prequels was also a jedi master. Little green baby just has a high midichlorian count. Also, in the OT what makes Yoda good is that he trained jedi for hundreds of years.

I thought it was pretty cool. I liked the bounty hunter droid. If they just sent two of those things first off, it would have saved them a lot of money.

The best thing I can say about this show, is that it captures what makes space operas and fantasy as genres great - and that's world building without exposition.

Star Wars has the benefit of an established lore and canon, and the Mandalorian immediately feels like it perfectly fits in, while showing us a piece of the galaxy that we may not be familiar with. And it does this pretty much in the first 20 minutes of the first episode. (And I don't feel like the Force Awakes and the new movie) really ever did that despite trying really really hard to say SEE this is star wars too)

So even if it narratively sucks from here on it, its got enough style that I'll keep watching.

The real crime is covering Pedro Pascals face
