There are a lot of Easter eggs and throw backs, but they don't get in the way at all.

If they had a little tighter grasp on the music, and maybe spent a hair more time developing the third act, I would have rated it a proper 9/10.

Watched it and damn, it makes the current trilogy look so shitty in comparison.

This is how to do Star Wars. Felt serious at times, balanced by realistic humor.

The Universe also felt real and expansive, with background characters going about their lives, things going on at galaxy wide level.

It was also nice to see no Jedi, no lightsabers, no force users.

I'm interested in the Mandolorian culture that was shown, the Beskar Steel, Mandalorian forging armor and the bounty hunters guild.

All in all, very satisfied.

They had to do it that way; good as the Mandalorian is, Jedi and Sith are just too over-powered.

Watched it twice back to back (first time was with a whiny 5 month old). Enjoyed the feel of it..was kind of short but I honestly didn't even realize it was only 40 mins

That was just about as perfect a pilot as they could have made.

As a star wars fan, this pilot was perfect. If I want to put on my critics hat i might find a few things to nag about. Like the ever present "bad aim" the enemies have at opportune times. Even that is somewhat explained by the armor.

Whatever, I don't care the point is I would fight anyone who didn't like this pilot.

Isn't Mandalorian Armour traditionally made out of an extremely rare form of Iron that can withstand even Light Sabres? I seem to recall reading that the only reason Mace Motherfuckin' Windu was able to behead Jango Fett is that his neck wasn't covered by the Armour.

Isn't Mandalorian Armour traditionally made out of an extremely rare form of Iron that can withstand even Light Sabres?

It can survive a slash or glancing blow from a lightsaber but not a direct stab and the metal that was mainly used is called Beskar and is also referred to as Mandalorian steel.

I liked it, though I did expect a bit more. There was a moment or two which was a bit odd or cliche (the alien chicken rotisserie would make sense in the OG trilogy but not in 2019).

The end was... OK, I guess, made me that much more interested in the story. I thought it would be
